Here's my short list of things to do in Jupiter this year!
I've lived in Jupiter over 30 year. First hand experience is Jupiter has more to offer residents than other towns and cities in the Palm Beach area. Pristine beaches span the coastline with ample free parking. The Juno Beach pier is open 7 days a week. You'll enjoy fishing, waterfront dining overlooking our beautiful lighthouse and miles of intracoastal waterways to explore.
I'm going to suggest a day kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or canoeing the local waterways. There plenty of places to rent and try out your new found hobby. Check out Blueline Surf & Paddle Company. or Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina for hourly, half day and full day rentals.
Thinking of moving to Jupiter? There are dozens of great waterfront neighborhoods ranging in price from the low $200's to over $1m. On the lower range, Riverwalk townhomes offer kayak and boat storage, a boat ramp and day docks. Jupiter Plantation also in the more affordable bracket offers the same, but closer to the ocean and with a skyline view of the Jupiter lighthouse.
Dining options are awesome and offer a variety of local flavors. Harbourside located on the new Riverwalk is home to Calaveras Cantina, The Woods, Bravo and Tommy Bahama all with intracoastal water views. The Square Grouper, Jetty's, U-Tiki, Schooners and Guanabanas have great waterfront locations on or near Jupiter Inlet and offer some of the best scenery in the immediate area.
Lighthouse tours, Loxahatchee River expeditions, Conch Boat excursions and miles of natural terrain to explore in Jonathan Dickenson State Park are more reasons to live here. Hop on a bike and head to the beach. There are ample bike racks to secure your ride while catching some rays. Jupiter prides itself on bike lanes which have reached as far north as Tequesta and down south through Palm Beach Gardens.
Community parks can be found about everywhere! Tennis courts, pickleball (my new favorite way to blow off steam), basketball, baseball fields, football and soccer, racquetball and volley ball. Not to mention all the great places to golf! There are 3 courses which are open to the public in Jupiter alone, and at least a dozen or more within a 20 minute drive
Abacoa main attraction, Roger Dean Stadium hosts spring training for the St Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins. Games take place throughout the year with promotions, family events and fireworks. There are also number of free concerts, car shows, food truck events, movie nights and bike nights in addition to The Italian Festival and Artigras art show featuring premiere artisans from all reaches of the planet.
Take a short trip to the Palm Beach Gardens Green Market located just south of PGA Boulevard on Military Trail. It runs every Sunday until 1pm from late Fall to the end of Spring. Vendors sell fresh baked bread, produce, flowers, art, pastries, food and crafts. Enjoy live entertainment on stage with seating. Perfect for relaxing after a lengthy bike ride from the north.
I'm sure I've only highlighted a fraction of all the wonderful things to do in this town. You won't regret visiting!
